[Movies] There May Be More Saw Movies
Posted by Larry Csonka on 06.08.2009

Bloody Disgusting recently caught up with Tobin Bell while at E3, and he confirmed that the Saw team is currently looking at part seven and eight of the Saw Franchise…

"In their wisdom, these producers always wait to see how the current film does. Six is finished and we're just in the middle of talking about [seven]."

When Bell was asked if Saw VIII would end the series, he stated…

"Final is a relative word, especially in entertainment. I look forward to filling out the other pieces of the puzzle. There's some pieces that people still haven't seen...If there's more good story to tell, it's good to have more opportunities to tell it."

I pretty much ended the SAW series for myself with three.

People hate on it for having more than 3 or even 1, but WHY? no one forces you to watch these films. For me personally, I say bring them on. I have enjoyed every Saw film thus far, some more than others of course, but I will still shell out my money for these films.

Agreed with Bryan...
No one is forcing people to see these movies and I've enjoyed them all so far(havnt seen 5 yet).

seriously they are milking these for all they are worth. this is more about money than art. they are forcing them out and they will make money. fucking prepare for SAW VIIXIVVIV!!!

If they make money keep making them. Just because they are tasteless and absurd movies to me does not mean that they should stop making them. We are a free market and free speech based society.

I don't see what the big deal is. It's not like SAW is the first franchise to have a bunch of sequels. I mean... we have Friday the 13th which pretty much had no story, or was constantly changed. We had the Nightmare on Elm Streets and the Halloweens, the Chucky's, Star Wars, Godzilla's and James Bond.

And if you mean to tell me that every SAW basher hates every single one of those franchises, they should probably just stop watching movies, you're impossible to please.

And if you do like those franchises, leave us SAW fans be. You don't need to watch them. I've enjoyed every single SAW movie and I'm a big SAW fan, so I say keep them coming.

Five was the weakest of the series, but it was still fun. Tobin Bell always delivers and they do a damn good job with keeping up with continuity (a lot better than Friday and Nightmare ever did with it).

Plus it is cool to have a horror movie actually come out on Halloween instead of August (Rob Zombie, I'm looking at you).

I think it would be pretty cool if they kept making more sequels for Saw. That concept will never get old to me. The traps and deaths are always cool and much like Sesame Street you learn someting in the end.

NO NO NO NO NO NO.

The Saw franchise needs to end with Saw VI. Anything after that is just sad.

Saw is supposed to end with 6. Tobin isn't even signed up beyond that, and I doubt he will be. To go past 6 they'd need a new Jigsaw and have to do it without Bell. Even as a Saw fan, count me out. Six needs to wrap it all up with one last big twist (if they can).

Some are saying if they are making money to keep it around. That's true, and I'm going to add to it. If it is making money that means people are watching it, and people are enjoying it.

If people are enjoying it, why the fuck not?

They should end part six with a timer reaching zero and launching a Jigsaw website, publishing all of his plans and blueprints for deathtraps to the world and encouraging society to take up his work.

Then if they wanted to do more, they could basically start an entirely new story.

HA! All this means is that after the sixth one they're just going to re-boot or remake the franchise.

damn people are stupid........if you all are real horror fans you'd see what there doing is good.........they've made a horror franchise that goes to theaters every year........thus keeping horror alive........I watch many horror movies including low budget ones....so i like when i can see horror with money put in to it....plus saw still manages to find original.......crazy and gruesome ways to finish its victims....I SAY KEEP EM COMING........and its not just saw anyways.......i mean you have hellraiser...michael myers...jason...freddy...ect...they didn't stop after a few movies.......so why should saw stop.?

AWESOME! Seriously I hate idiots who complain over these movie. Dont fucking watch them if you dont like them

Posted By: Guest#0665 (Guest)  on June 08, 2009 at 10:56 PM

People don't complain if they liked none of them. They do complain if they liked the earlier ones and feel the many pointless sequels tarnish the series. That's perfectly valid. Also the speed in which they are running these off, it is like a process line of shit.

And to those that whinge about people whinging and say that they don't have to see the film. Here is an idea, you don't have to read the posts from people whinging! What a crazy idea that is, use your own logic and just IGNORE people slagging off your beloved franchise.

No one that is whinging on a forum is in any position to say other people shouldn't be whinging on a forum. That's called hypocracy folks. So either whinge away and accept other people have just as much right to whinge or shut up.
